Dr. Sarah Witkowski is an assistant professor and director of the Molecular and Cardiovascular Physiology Laboratory in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She received her PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland in 2008 and completed her postdoc training in the Molecular Systems and Genomics Labs in 2010. Proper vascular function is a hallmark of cardiovascular health. Dr. Witkowski’s lab is focused on researching cellular and molecular factors that support proper vascular function and regeneration of the vascular system. Her lab is interested in how these factors change with physical activity, aging, and disease.
